At Mindful Living Matters we believe in building trust with our clients. It is why we have developed a set of terms and conditions for our yoga classes and programs, workshops and therapies. When you are booking your appointment we ask that you familiarise yourself with our terms and conditions and release and indemnity agreement.

General Release and Indemnity
• By making a booking you acknowledge the release and indemnity agreement
• You will be required to complete a new client intake form if this is your first appointment, or its been 6 months since we have seen you.
• You give your informed consent prior to treatment. You understand that you can ask the therapist to suspend the treatment or modify the treatment plan at your discretion. You are responsible for communicating if you are uncomfortable with anything at all during your treatment, experience pain or discomfort or wish to suspend the treatment.
• You declare you will take full responsibility for your treatment.

Please ensure you read all terms and conditions before purchasing class passes or booking in for any yoga programs, classes or events.
- All class passes including casual class bookings are active from the time of purchase / booking for first class
- Class passes including casual class bookings may be transferred between classes or used for family or friends that you nominate. Notification of transferring passes must be received in writing prior to being activated
- All class passes including casual class bookings are non-refundable except in extenuating circumstances. All requests for refunds must be received by email. A credit with our one-on-one services will be offered in the first instance. Management reserve the right to refuse all refund requests.
- All class passes including casual class bookings must be used within the term that they have been purchased and activated. Each year is divided into 4 terms.
- While we endeavour to deliver all our classes on time and as advertised, classes are subject to change or cancellation without notice.
Cancellation Policy for Yoga classes and Programs
- All cancellations must be made online more than 48 hours prior to the booking
- If you do not attend a booking or cancel less than 48 hours before class you forfeit that class pass.
- You may choose to transfer your pass to someone else if you are cancelling less than 48 hours before class. All notifications of transferring a class pass needs to be received in writing. You can email or text 0438 264 354 with the name of the person who will be attending in your place.
General Release and Indemnity
- In purchasing a class pass and making a booking you acknowledge the release and indemnity agreement
- You also agree to have informed the instructor of any new or existing medical conditions.
- You understand that Yoga is not a substitute for medical attention, examination diagnosis or treatment and have sought medical attention for any new or existing conditions before participating in any yoga class.
- You are able to participate in and undertake physical activity.
- If you experience any pain or discomfort, you agree to listen to your body, adjust the posture and ask for support from the instructor.
- You declare you will take full responsibility for yourself in class.

- I am not required to participate in any situation or behaviour, which I consider to be unsafe or inappropriate, in which case I agree to notify the instructor immediately of my concerns.
- I will not participate or initiate in inappropriate behaviour and I fully accept all Terms and Conditions of Mindful Living Matters.
Terms & Conditions for Workshops
- Please refer to all information regarding each individual workshop
- Receipt of deposit and confirmation of your booking constitutes acknowledgement of all terms and conditions for workshops
- A deposit must be received at time of booking the workshop
- Outstanding registration fees must be made in full 10 days prior to the workshop date
- Where food and beverage may be supplied you are responsible for informing the workshop organisers of special dietary requirements.
- While we endeavour to deliver all our workshops on time and as advertised, workshops are subject to change or cancellation without notice.
- Refunds for paid workshops will be as follows:
- Cancellation made within 14 days of workshop receive full refund of any money paid less any online booking fees
- Cancellation made within 7 days of workshop receive 50% refund of workshop registration fee
- Cancellation made within 48 hours of workshop receives no refund
- In case of cancellation by Mindful Living Matters all monies will be refunded
- Bookings may be transferred at the discretion of the management.

- You also agree to have informed the teacher / workshop facilitator of any new or existing medical conditions that may impact your participation in the workshop.
- You understand that these workshops are not a substitute for medical attention, examination diagnosis or treatment and have sought medical attention for any new or existing conditions before participating in any workshop.
- You are able to participate in and undertake physical activity.
- If you experience any pain or discomfort, you agree to listen to your body and ask for support from the instructor.
- You declare you will take full responsibility for yourself in the workshop

- I will not initiate or participate in inappropriate behaviour and I fully accept all Terms and Conditions of Mindful Living Matters.
Terms and Conditions for Therapies
- Therapies refers to all bookings made for massage, shiatsu, Reiki, Oriental Remedial therapies, Remedial therapies, private yoga sessions, psychosomatic treatments and other private bookings
- Our goal is to provide you with the best, professional service. We encourage you to familiarise yourself with these terms and conditions to avoid disappointment or confusion. If you have any queries or concerns, please email or call us.
- Appointments and bookings can be received online, by email, phone or text or even via Facebook Messenger:
- All new clients, clients with new conditions or clients who we have not seen for over 6 months will require an initial consultation
- All bookings involve a consultation to assess what your hope to achieve from your appointment, perform a diagnostic analysis, formulate a treatment plan, answer questions and check in with how you are feeling
- Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your booking time, this ensures the previous client has departed and given us time to prepare for your appointment
- If you arrive early please have a seat on the chair on the porch and we will be with you as soon as possible
- We endeavour to ensure our prices are accurate and consistent across all advertising media. It is possible that mistakes can happen. Please check our website for the most up to date fees or ask at the time of confirmation. We will charge what is on the website or what we have sent you at the time of confirmation.
- From time to time we have a Karma Rewards program. Please check with us if you qualify for this program at the time of booking.
- No shows and cancellations are problematic for any business and this is why re have our cancellation and refund policy. Please ensure you understand these before proceeding with your booking.
- Inappropriate conduct is not accepted at our business. Our staff are professionally trained in their modalities and deserve as much respect as you our valued client does. Any behaviour that is considered inappropriate will not be accepted and anyone who participates in such will be asked to leave immediately. Full payment of fee will still be expected. Please understand that some behaviour is reportable to police. If you require clarification on what is inappropriate please refer to management before making your booking.
- Complaints or grievances are to be made in writing to management. Please email us and we will respond within 72 hours.
- Therapist and management have the right to refuse anyone service at any point for any reason.
- We practice the highest standards including hygiene and health practices. If you have any concerns about anything regarding your treatment, the therapist or location at any time before during or immediately after your treatment please contact us.
- We are committed to your privacy and do not disclose your information to anyone. If you wish to have a copy of you file please send us a written request. We adhere to Australia practices for storage of information and records are kept for up to 10 years (longer is some cases according to legislation).
Cancellation and Refund Policy for Private bookings and Therapies
- Cancellations may attract a fee and are charged at the discretion of management
- All cancellations can be made online more than 48 hours prior to the booking via your confirmation link.
- If you do not attend a booking or cancel less than 48 hours before class you forfeit your deposit.

- All no shows on the day of booking will be charged the full fee. Future bookings will not be made until the fee is paid in full.

Preparing for your Booking
Yoga Class Bookings
We have prepared some information to help you prepare for your yoga class.
If this is your first time attending one of our classes you might like to check directions of where to come.
Please wear comfortable clothes that are appropriate for bending and moving. Change room facilities are available.
Unless otherwise notified, we no longer provide equipment or water for classes. Please bring a towel and water to every class.
You will be asked to sanitise your hands prior to entering the building. You are asked to maintain social distancing requirements. Markers are provided to let you know where to roll out your mat. Cleaning wipes are provided for use on any equipment that may be provided before and after use.
Ample parking is available in front of the building. As a duty of care for all my clients I suggest arriving and leaving in a buddy system particularly at night. It might be ideal to have a torch on your car keys however the area directly in front of the building is well lit. I will be at the building approximately half an hour before class and will have my mobile phone should you experience problems finding the building or concerns with safety and security.
If this is your first time attending class or if you have not attended for a while you will be required to complete an up to date registration form which includes a medical history and informed consent. This is a mandatory requirement for my business and registration as a yoga instructor. I may ask other questions before class begins but please be assured all information is completely confidential and to assist in insuring you have a positive yoga experience.
Private Appointments - Shiatsu / Massage / Therapies

Please ensure you confirm the location of your treatment prior to your appointment day. Currently we are operating from multiple locations on varying days of the week.
What to expect before your treatment: Once we have received your booking, you may receive a phone call from us to discuss your booking. This call will be based on any information you have supplied at time of booking - its why we ask the questions when you are booking online or via written media.
Therapeutic treatments are to support your healing and when performed by a suitably qualified person results in minimal side effects and poses minimal risk. In some cases it may be recommended you get a medical clearance before consulting with one of our therapists.
We will send you a confirmation 24 - 48 hours prior to your booking. If you have any questions before attending your treatment please do not hesitate to contact us.
What to expect with your treatment: If this is your first treatment you will need to complete a full registration form which includes medical history and informed consent. This is a mandatory component of our business and registration as a physical therapist. We will also ask other questions at the time of your appointment and all information verbal or written is completely confidential.
Our therapist will also have additional questions at the time of the appointment and will conduct a short consultation to ensure they are providing the best possible treatment plan. Your therapist may also perform diagnostic assessments based on their modality. This may involve a pulse and check your tongue, a abdominal diagnosis or back diagnosis or a full body analysis. You may be asked to show range of movement, flexibility or taken through other physical assessment protocols.
Before commencing the treatment your therapist will inform you of any relevant findings from the consultations and discuss the best possible treatment plan. If you are not comfortable with the treatment plan please let your therapist know before the treatment commences OR at any time during the treatment. This might include but is not limited to treatment style or pressure used.
Some treatments are conducted fully clothed while other treatments may require items of clothing to be removed. In all treatments underwear is to be left on. For females it is optional if you remove your bra. If you leave your bra on it may be undone to access areas of your shoulder and back. Drapes and towels will be offered for you to remain covered up during the treatment and will only be moved to access the areas of your body being treated.
Moxibustion, Cupping or Gua Sha may form part of your treatment plan. If you would like to know more about these therapies please visit the website to learn more.
Oils, lotions and liniments may or may not be used during your treatment. Please let us know if you have a preference. We choose products with minimal known allergies and try to conduct skin tests prior to commencing the treatment. If you are concerned about any product that we are using please communicate this with us immediately.
Your treatment plan will be discussed prior to commencing and you will have choice of a treatment clothed or with selected items of clothing removed depending on the therapeutic treatment plan.
What to expect after your treatment: Recommendations may be made on completion of your treatment. These are designed to complement your treatment and ensure longevity of your therapeutic session. It is your responsibility to follow up on these recommendations.
Your therapist should have performed a full assessment and discuss and contraindications / risk / expected side effects regarding proposed treatments. If you experience any side effects after your treatment it is your responsibility to report these to your therapist immediately.
Our therapist will discuss frequency of follow ups based on your treatment plan and expected healing rate however we want you to be responsible for your health therefore we do not enforce re-bookings. We will however ask you at the end of your treatment if you would like a follow up session and we do encourage you to re-book before leaving so you get the time and day that suits you best.
